Metcheck weather site	Good weather forecast site. Click Hobbies, Mountaineering, select Mournes and click on map.
BBC Weather forecast site	5 day forecast, complete with wind speeds . Select UK, N.Ireland and move forward to select day and time
Met Office Homepage	UK Weather forecast. 3 day summary.
Ulster Federation of Rambling Clubs (UFRC)	Governing body for Rambling and Hill-Walking Clubs in the North of Ireland.
Walks Northern Ireland	Walks in Northern Ireland, Short, Medium or Long. Site maintained by Northern Ireland Tourist Board
Walkers Association of Ireland	New Site (2008) aimed at providing a sense of identity and purpose to hill walking and rambling in its own right as a national sport in Ireland
Cloud appreciation website Weather and clouds	Two sites to help you understand and appreciate clouds and the weather associated with them
BMC	British Mountaineering Council: the representative body that exists to protect the freedoms and promote the interests of climbers, hillwalkers and mountaineers, including ski-mountaineers. Insurance might be of interest to Mourne Ramblers.
MCI	Mountaineering Council of Ireland: links to walking, climbing and rambling clubs: reports on issues currently being addressed. Also provides details on their interesting lecture series, some of which are given in Belfast.
Scottish Access Code	Includes a list of contacts, many of them ranger services, all over the country.
MCofS	Mountaineering Council of Scotland: the representative body for climbers, walkers, mountaineers and cross-country skiers who enjoy the Scottish mountains.
Simon Stewarts Hill Walking in Ireland	Excellent site providing photos of mountain landscapes, description of routes of long walks, challenge walks, links, maps. (e.g. Glover walk, Maamturks walk)
Wicklow Way, Kerry Way, Dingle Way	All the information you need before embarking on these walks – especially useful is the information on accommodation along the way.
Walking and Hiking routes	Good database of walking and hiking trails worldwide; well annotated
Bluestacks	Bluestacks Field and Study Environmental Group Web Site.
Mourne Heritage Trust	Winter Walks Programme from the Mourne Heritage Trust .
Jackson Sports	Not only useful for info on equipment but they will host some reports of trips on their web pages. As a member of the MCI Mourne Ramblers get a 10% discount.
Field and Trek	Online store for clothing, footwear, equipment. Good technical guidance and special offers.
Lowe Alpine	Search facilities for products via category and retailers.
Mountain Technology	Good site for technical information on products
